COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) held a ceremony for one of its former employees Wednesday morning.
BCSO dedicated the Bartholomew County Jail’s outdoor recreation area to Danny Sipple, a retired corrections officer who devoted 24 years of service to Bartholomew County. The area is now called the “Danny Dome.”
Sipple was recognized with a plaque which is now affixed above the door leading to the recreation area.
The plaque reads, “This Dome is dedicated in honor of Danny Sipple, whose dedication to the jail was recognized by co-workers and inmates.”
