FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Recycling District (JCRD) Tox Box has reopened for a month at 1051 Hospital Rd., in Franklin, before moving to its new location on Graham Road. It is now open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through April 4.
The Tox Box is a Household Hazardous Waste collection program for Johnson County residents only. You must schedule an appointment (one per household per week). No businesses, contractors, or small-quantity generators will be accepted. Visit jcrd.org to make an appointment.
Drive-ups without an appointment are not permitted. For Tox Box Saturday appointments, visit the JCRD events listing page.
The following items are accepted free of charge at the Tox Box:
- Household cleaning supplies
- Yard and pool chemicals
- Automotive fluids
- Poisons
- Aerosol cans
- Adhesives
- Oil-based paint and stain
No latex paint, batteries, or light bulbs will be accepted.
