SEYMOUR, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., is scheduled to begin an intersection improvement project on U.S. 50 this week. It will start on or after Monday, May 19, and continue through late July.
The work is between North County Roads 1225 and 1250E, approximately 1.5 miles east of Seymour, and is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded in January 2024.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
Motorists can expect these restrictions during the intersection improvement project at this location:
- A reduced speed limit of 45 mph
- An 11-foot width limit for vehicles on eastbound and westbound U.S. 50
- North County Road 1250E closed at U.S. 50
