FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Highway Department has announced the closure of County Road 80S to all traffic at the intersection with Nineveh Road beginning Tuesday, May 27. The hard closure will remain until Phase 2 of INDOT’s US 31 construction project in Franklin is completed sometime in November.
Officials at the highway department say that C.R. 80S is too narrow to be safely used as a detour route for Nineveh Road traffic.
The detour for local traffic on C.R. 80S will be to enter and exit at the US 31 and C.R. 80 intersection. Nineveh Road/Airport Road traffic normally using the US 31 and Nineveh Road intersection should plan an alternate route while the US 31 intersection is closed.
