COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund has announced its 1st Annual Golf Outing on July 17 at Otter Creek Golf Course. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cheer Fund, a long-standing local tradition that provides holiday gifts and support to families in need throughout Bartholomew County.
Established in 1930, the Cheer Fund is the oldest charity in Bartholomew County and is dedicated to ensuring every child experiences the joy of the holidays. Each year, the organization distributes toys, clothes, books, and more to hundreds of families who might otherwise go without.
The golf outing will offer a full day of friendly competition, food, and community spirit. Both morning and afternoon flights are being considered, with final tee times determined by registration numbers. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
Team registration is now open for groups of four. Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot. The registration deadline is June 30.
In addition to team sign-ups, sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and organizations looking to support a meaningful cause while gaining community visibility.
