COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) recently honored the Columbus Police Department (CPD) and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department (BCSO) as one of this year’s “Model Agencies.”
The CPD/BCSO school resource officer team represents a unique collaboration between two independent law enforcement agencies serving in partnership to protect the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation schools.
The unit contains members from each department and works seamlessly as a team to serve.
NASRO recognized the agencies for their creative and innovative approach to school-based policing.
