FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin College has announced the appointment of Ryan O’Leary as its new sports information director.
A 1996 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, O’Leary most recently served a nine-year stint as the sports editor at the Daily Journal in Franklin. This role included covering the Grizzlies.
Franklin College’s new Sports Information Director got his start in the late 1990s as the sports editor for the Berkshire Record in Massachusetts. He continued his career in and around Boston and Chicago, then returned to Indiana to work at Blue and Gold Illustrated and the Lafayette Journal and Courier before coming to Franklin.
He has also worked in the sports information offices at both Notre Dame and Boston College.
O’Leary, who resides in Bargersville with his wife Lindsay and their two sons, Braylon and Landon, began at the college on June 27.
