VERSAILLES, Ind. – Troopers from the Indiana State Police (ISP)-Versailles Post conducted targeted patrols, or “wolfpacks,” on its area roadways last Friday, July 11. The region includes Bartholomew, Jackson, Jennings, and Decatur Counties in south-central Indiana.
Dayshift units primarily patrolled interstate and state highways, looking for motorists who were speeding or operating unsafely. The night shift focused its efforts on DUI and criminal interdiction patrols.
During those 24 hours, troopers issued 71 citations and 109 warnings. They also made eight criminal arrests, had eight police services, and conducted three commercial vehicle inspections.
ISP posts from around the state will continue to conduct “wolfpacks,” where multiple troopers will patrol designated areas to target unsafe motorists and those who may be committing criminal offenses on Indiana roadways.
