WALDRON, Ind. – The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department has announced that it will be conducting critical “Active Shooter Training” at Waldron High School beginning Tuesday, July 22, and operating every day through July 25.
A large number of law enforcement vehicles and personnel are scheduled to be at the school for the “Active Shooter Training” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Shelby County Sheriff Louie Koch asks residents to share this information to avoid any unnecessary alarm caused by the heavy police presence during these four days.
Sheriff Koch said, “Our wish is that we never need to use this training, but we want to be fully prepared to mitigate any situation that might arise. We thank our community for the support they give us.”
