COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Moonlight Loop is back on. The nighttime bike ride through parts of Columbus was postponed in June and again in July due to the weather, but organizers are going to try one last time next month.
The 2025 Moonlight Loop, benefiting Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS), has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 2, at 9 p.m. CACS provides animal shelter and field services for the Columbus community.
Riders begin and end at the Bartholomew County Public Library. It is not a closed route, so bikers should ride responsibly. Local law enforcement will be present to help guide you through major intersections.
The donation is $35 per rider ($40 the day of the event), and you can register here.
For more information about the Moonlight Loop or to see a map of the route, go to the Columbus Animal Care Services website: www.columbus.in.gov/animal-care-services/moonlight-loop.
If you can’t ride that evening, but would like to support the Friends of Animal Care Services PetFix program, send a check to “Friends of CACS,” 2730 Arnold St., Columbus, IN 47203.
