JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. –The Johnson County Highway Department is reporting an extension of the current Fairview Road closing, between Leisure Lane and Green Hills Court, in White River Township.
The closure was originally planned to end Friday, July 25, but will be extended until Wednesday, July 30. The project required more subgrade and pavement reconstruction than originally anticipated.
The ongoing roadway modifications are being done to improve available vertical clearance at the Indiana Railroad bridge crossing over Fairview Road.
Drivers can take a detour by using State Road 135, County Line Road, and Peterman Road to bypass the intersection closure.
