SEYMOUR, Ind. – After a six-week investigation, the Seymour Police Department (SPD) took a local man into custody on Friday for child molestation.
Officers received a report on June 13 that a female juvenile had allegedly been sexually assaulted for several years. Investigators with the SPD conducted interviews and collected further information, which resulted in the identification of two additional victims.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested Michael L. Jolly, 56, of Seymour, on 18 counts of child molesting, 15 of which were Level 1 felonies. Jolly was incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail pending an initial hearing.
