NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a Jennings County woman on multiple drug charges during a traffic stop on Sunday, July 13.
During a traffic stop on Buckeye Street in downtown North Vernon, officers established probable cause to pull over and search the vehicle.
Methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug-related items were allegedly discovered during the search.
The driver, Alexis Johnson, was taken into custody and transported to the Jennings County Jail.
She faces preliminary charges of:
- Possession of Meth
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Paraphernalia
- Neglect of a Dependent (Level 6 felony)
All suspects are presumed innocent, unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
