NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a local woman following a theft at Walmart on 2410 N State Hwy on Saturday, August 2.
NVPD Officers conducted a traffic stop related to a reported theft from Walmart, located at 2410 N. State Hwy.
A female suspect, identified as Ashley Atchison, was allegedly found to have multiple stolen items and other contraband. Further investigation revealed that Atchison had previously been trespassed from the business. She was taken into custody and transported to the Jennings County Jail without incident.
Charges being requested through the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office include:
- Felony Theft
- Counterfeiting
- Possession of Marijuana
- Criminal Trespassing
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
