NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) has arrested four people following a large-scale drug and theft investigation.
NVPD initiated the investigation following a reported burglary of a storage unit on West Hayden Pike. Officers executed two separate search warrants at different locations.
At each location, narcotics were allegedly discovered, leading to additional warrants being granted for drug-related offenses.
During the execution of the first search warrant, Anthony Herr was taken into custody for:
- Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 Felony)
- Theft (Level 6 Felony)
- Possession of Marijuana.
John Bates was located on the property and was found to have an active in-county warrant and was additionally charged with Possession of Heroin.
After carrying out the second search warrant, Melissa Linscott was arrested and charged with
- Theft
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Dealing Methamphetamine
- Neglect of a Dependent
- Possession of Paraphernalia
- Obstruction of Justice
Darrell Linscott was also booked for Possession of Methamphetamine.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
