NORTH VERNON, Ind. – UPDATE: Officials at the North Vernon Fire Department said that when firefighters arrived early Wednesday afternoon, they found a fully engulfed garage that housed two classic cars. Several local fire departments, including Vernon Township, Scipio/Geneva, Campbell, and Lovett, assisted in extinguishing the blaze.

According to social media, the fire engulfed the closed Clark’s Salvage and Towing building at 42 Hicks St., at around 1 p.m.
