COLUMBUS, Ind. – Runners from all over the country will gather on Saturday morning, September 27, for the 13th annual Mill Race Marathon in Columbus.
The event includes a 5K, a half-marathon, and a full marathon. The opening ceremony is at 7 a.m., and all races start around 7:30 a.m. at the Commons. There is also a Kids Fun Run in Mill Race Park on Friday, September 26, at 6 p.m. Learn all about the races here.
The Marathon course is a flat, fast Boston Qualifier that runs through downtown Columbus, taking advantage of the shady People Trails and City Parks and allowing participants to run by the city’s architectural sights.
After the event, all are invited to the Finish on Fourth After Party, downtown on Fourth Street, starting at 9 a.m., for music, food, a beer garden, the awards ceremony, and the announcement of the grand prize winner of the Cummins truck at 3 p.m.
Then, keep the Mill Race Marathon spirit alive at the 4th Street Bar’s Stumble and Sip Marathon After Party sponsored by Johnson-Witkemper in downtown Columbus on race day, starting at 4 p.m.
