COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Area Arts Council (CAAC) has organized a Battle of the Bands for area teens at Columbus North High School on November 22. All band members must be 19 years old or younger.
The “Youth Arts” initiative aims to empower young people to explore their artistic talents. By providing resources and opportunities, CAAC helps youth build confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

If you think your band can rock the stage, here are some rules and entry deadlines coming up that you need to know.
- Audition by submitting a video to the Arts Council by October 4
- The video should be five minutes or less, and all band members must be in it
- Keep it PG-13
- Consider sound quality, energy, technical proficiency, and audience engagement
- If you prefer, live performance auditions are on October 25 and 29 at Clifty Creek School
