NORTH VERNON, Ind. – North Vernon Parks and Recreation will host a pumpkin painting contest at the City Park Shelter House on Saturday, October 25, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
One pumpkin will be given out per person while supplies last. Participants can paint their pumpkins just for fun or enter the contest. Pumpkins are due by 2 p.m.
The categories are:
- Youth – ages 6 to 12
- Teens – ages 13 to 17
- Adults – ages 18 and over
The Top 10 painters in each age group advance to community voting, and their photos are posted on the North Vernon Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Voting is October 25 through 27. Winners in each age group will receive a prize.
