COLUMBUS, Ind.– Columbus Regional Health(CRH) has welcomed a new surgeon to its medical staff.
As a general surgeon, Sylvester Osayi, MD, performs a variety of procedures, including robotic-assisted, laparoscopic, and open surgeries, endoscopies, wound care, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, and colon surgery. He has joined Columbus Regional Health General Surgery. Dr. Osayi is fluent in English and the languages of Nigeria, including Igbo. His diverse background has enabled him to work effectively with people from diverse cultures. He says he likes having patients be in the driver’s seat of their healthcare and involved in decision-making. Dr. Osayi also believes in considering patients’ medical and social needs when making healthcare decisions. He is the author of several publications.
Before joining Columbus Regional Health, Dr. Osayi was a general surgeon at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. He and his wife have four children. They enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors.
