COLUMBUS, Ind. – Centra Credit Union recently supported three local nonprofits in Bartholomew County with $2,000 in donations as part of the Centra Foundation’s Pay It Forward campaign. Pay It Forward empowers Centra’s Team Members to lead service projects in that support local nonprofits.
As a financial institution rooted in the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, Centra actively seeks new ways to give its Team Members more opportunities to give back in unique and meaningful ways.
The following organizations serving Bartholomew County were supported as part of Pay It Forward:
- Bartholomew County School Supply Assistance Program
- Columbus North Bulldog Pantry
- Beloved Bags
Centra Team Members also donated to various local food banks across the greater Bartholomew County community.
Centra Foundation’s Pay It Forward campaign gives Centra and its Team Members another opportunity to live out their vision of creating value for each other, their Members, and the communities they serve.
In the third quarter of 2025, 154 Team Members volunteered their time, and a total of $10,000 went back into the communities Centra serves.
Thanks to Centra’s success in 2024, the Credit Union was able to provide an additional $166,000 to the Centra Foundation. The Foundation is then allocating a total of $30,000 across 60 teams in 2025 to “pay it forward” in the communities Centra serves.
