NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested an alleged intoxicated driver during a traffic stop on Sunday morning, October 5.
NVPD Officer Alex Holt conducted a traffic stop on County Road 300N at 4 a.m. after observing a white Volkswagen near Casey’s General Store on State Road 7 being driven erratically. The vehicle later left the convenience store parking lot without taillights, and it allegedly crossed the center line several times before coming to a stop.
Jose Luis Rosales Munoz was arrested for operating while intoxicated after Munoz allegedly displayed signs of impairment, including supposedly being unsteady on his feet and admitting to having no valid driver’s license. He was transported to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital, where a chemical test was administered.
After the test, Munoz was booked into the Jennings County Jail on preliminary charges of:
- Operating While Intoxicated
- Operating Without a License
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
