COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) has announced that the annual Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund Chili Cook-Off this year will once again be an in-person dinner. A spokesperson at CFD said, “You asked….We listened.”
The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund Chili Cook-Off is back on Friday, November 7, at NexusPark, from 5 p.m. until the chili runs out. There is no charge, but a free-will offering will be accepted for the Cheer Fund to help the firefighters make sure less fortunate children in the community have Christmas gifts.
If you crave chili but don’t want to come inside for the event, you can also get your meal to go. Just pull up to the drive-thru tent outside Entrance 2, and they will bring the chili to you.
For the first time in several years, if you want to enjoy some camaraderie, come inside to connect with friends, family, and firefighters. Stay for great entertainment and help CFD kick off the holiday season by making a difference for local families through the Cheer Fund.
