NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Officers with the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) visited students at St Mary’s School on 209 Washington St., in North Vernon, on Wednesday, October 22.
They spoke to St. Mary’s Preschool class about the police and safety, and were followed by Sgt. Lucas Newsom, who read a Halloween book to the students. The visit ended with fun in the police cars, complete with lights and sirens.
NVPD thanked St. Mary’s for allowing them to come and speak with the kids.
