COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Utilities (CCU) has announced that workers will be performing maintenance and repairs at two locations this week. There will be lane restrictions and delays for motorists in these areas.
Beginning on or after Tuesday, October 28, contractors for Columbus City Utilities will be busy with utility work in the vicinity of 2920 Carr Hill Road. They will be removing a portion of the existing utility system at that time. Drivers should be observant of flagging operations and changing conditions in the area. The work is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, an emergency repair to a water main break at 6th and Washington Streets will take place. The work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29.
To avoid delays, motorists should use alternate routes whenever possible. If you must travel in this area, CCU reminds you to slow down, use caution, and obey work zone signs and flaggers.
