NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) apprehended a local man for possession of methamphetamine and other charges on Friday, November 14.
At 12:05 AM, Task Force Officer Emily conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling without a functioning brake light. Deputy Watts and his K9 partner, Brock, conducted an open-air sniff of the car, in which K9 Brock provided a positive alert.
During a probable-cause search, NVPD allegedly found meth, drug-related items, and THC products in the vehicle.
Tristan Johnson, of North Vernon, was taken into custody. Johnson was preliminarily charged with Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana (THC).
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
