SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center and the Nature Book Store/Gift Shop, at 12987 US-50 in Seymour, are open and ready for the annual Holiday Open House on Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Enjoy complimentary hot cider, homemade cookies, and popcorn, along with 10% off most merchandise, which would be great gifts for everyone on your Christmas list. Shop a great selection of birding and nature books, nature-inspired earrings, animal hand and finger puppets, puzzles, Muscatatuck sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, and more.
For the kids, along with the fun puppets, there are many illustrated books to teach them all about birds, animals, and nature. Shop the huge selection of books and gifts that nature lovers and Christmas shoppers won’t find anywhere else.
Proceeds from the Holiday Open House help to support the many programs the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society hosts for the community. Learn how you can support the work of the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society by becoming a member or volunteer.
After shopping, hike along one of the beautiful Refuge trails. Be sure to look and listen for Sandhill Cranes. Their spectacular fall migration has begun.
