DECATUR COUNTY – An Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor has announced that State Road 46 will be restricted by a flagging operation on or after Thursday, June 1, at New Point, in Decatur County.
Lane restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, between South County Road 800E and South County Road 850E. This will allow crews to safely perform bridge maintenance and repairs. Restrictions are expected to last through the end of July, weather permitting.
The contract was awarded to 5 Star Company in March. It includes two future small-structure Ripley County projects.
INDOT reminds drivers to use extra caution, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. Work is weather-dependent and schedules could change.
