COLUMBUS, Ind. – ASAP (Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress) and Soul’s Truth Coaching have announced a community-wide “Dry January” challenge as part of ASAP’s Rethinking Wellness initiative.
Led by certified Empowerment Coach, Skye Nicholson, this 31-day challenge aims to enhance community wellness by helping participants explore how shifting their relationship with alcohol can positively impact overall mental and physical well-being.
Nicholson’s guidance draws upon the principles outlined in Annie Grace’s best-selling book The Alcohol Experiment. This free guided experience leads people to press pause on alcohol use, even for a short time, and reevaluate their relationship with alcohol.
“Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where participants can confidently gain insights, tools, and strategies to navigate their alcohol-free journey,” said Skye Nicholson.
Participants in the challenge will have access to posts, emails, videos, and Facebook live events designed to help identify triggers, manage cravings, and examine beliefs about alcohol’s role in life and relationships.
Viewpoint Books is also partnering with ASAP and Soul’s Truth Coaching to offer discounted copies of The Alcohol Experiment for “Dry January.”
ASAP’s Rethinking Wellness initiative aims to prevent substance misuse in Bartholomew County.
“Dry January” is a national movement that embodies this goal. Join the challenge here.
