INDIANAPOLIS — To help Indiana schools celebrate Earth Day 2025, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) will offer free hands-on classroom presentations to young students. IDEM staff will visit schools to discuss their careers and share STEM-based lessons about air, land, water, and recycling.
Elementary schools are eligible for classroom Earth Day presentations. IDEM professionals will share their experiences and the types of careers offered through IDEM. Teachers can choose from interactive presentations like recycling, reducing trash, how long trash lasts in landfills, watersheds, the water cycle, and air quality.
The 40-minute seminars are available in April on a first-come first-served basis. Schools can register through February 21 and may request up to four presentations.
