INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Museum announced Wednesday that four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves was voted into the Class of 2025 IMS Hall of Fame.
Castroneves, this year’s sole inductee, will be celebrated at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner on Thursday, May 22, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
“I am so incredibly thankful to be inducted into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. I was so surprised when I got the call and was immediately overjoyed with appreciation and awe,” said Castroneves. “I have some of my best memories at IMS, it’s truly an honor to be selected to be a part of the Hall of Fame.”
A member of the illustrious four-time Indianapolis 500 winners club with wins in 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2021, Castroneves is going for a record fifth victory in 2025. The Brazilian began his open-wheel racing career in 1996, first competing in the Indy Lights Series.
Castroneves finished his full-time IndyCar career with an impressive 31 race wins, 50 poles (four for the Indy 500), and 142 Top 5 finishes. He now serves in an ownership role with Meyer Shank Racing.
Get tickets for the event at imsmuseum.org. A table of eight is $2,000 and individual tickets are $250. All proceeds benefit the IMS Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization separate from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The museum celebrates and preserves the history behind the Indianapolis 500 and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
