
NASHVILLE, Ind. – Brown County Schools has announced the lineup of elementary youth speakers for this year’s TEDx Brown County Schools: Mavericks, Icons, Geniuses. The event will be at Brown County Music Center on Saturday, May 17. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with talks starting at 10.
The theme, Mavericks, Icons, and Geniuses, highlights how innovative thinking, creativity, and leadership can come from anywhere, including the youngest of minds.
Those planning to attend can reserve tickets at no cost here. The first 320 attendees will receive a swag bag.
The young students from local Brown County elementary schools have inspiring ideas worth spreading and are ready to share their voices.
Elementary speakers include:
- Mackenzie Sadlter, 3rd grader at Van Buren Elementary, “Worry Wort!”
- Breelynd Phelps, 3rd grader at Sprunica Elementary, “The Power of Prayer”
- Damon Robison, 5th grader at Helmsburg Elementary, “Everyone is Awesome in their Own Way”
The three elementary speakers will join four other speakers at this year’s event.
- Jay Gross, founder, innovator, and champion of bold ideas – “Get Your ‘Maverick’ On”
- Alexia Hoffman – “The Maverick’s Blueprint: Connecting Confidence and Goals to Fulfillment”
- SaulPaul, Grammy-nominated musician – “What I Learned About Music, Money, and Motivation”
- John Lechleiter, former CEO of Eli Lilly and Co. – “The M.I.G. in the Mirror”
