GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) Board of School Trustees has been recognized by the Indiana School Boards Association (ISBA) with the Level 1 Commendable Exemplary Governance Award for 2024.
Board member Amy Counts was individually recognized at the Level 1 Commendable tier, demonstrating her commitment to professional development and effective governance practices. She served as president of the CGCSC Board in 2024.
The Commendable award acknowledges the Board’s commitment to advancing the principles of good governance through professional development and continuous improvement. This recognition is part of ISBA’s Exemplary Governance Awards program, which honors school boards that demonstrate excellence in leadership and governance.
Center Grove joins 90 other school corporations in Indiana that received the Commendable board designation for 2024. Schools were recognized at a ceremony in Indianapolis on Tuesday, May 20.
The ISBA Exemplary Governance Awards program features four categories for boards: Commendable, Advanced, Distinguished, and Exemplary. Each level requires increasing commitment to governance excellence, student achievement initiatives, and strategic planning.
