WAYNESVILLE, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor 5 Star Company, Inc., is scheduled to close State Road 11 just north of Waynesville on or after Friday, July 11, to complete a small structure replacement project in Bartholomew County.
The closure will take place on S.R. 11 between East Main Cross Street and East County Road 550S, just south of East County Road 450S (Southern Crossing).
State Road 11 is expected to reopen in mid-August. While closed, motorists should use the official INDOT detour route, which follows I-65 to S.R. 46.
This project is part of a $1.7 million contract awarded in December 2024.
Drivers should slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
