GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Johnson County Highway Department is holding a public information meeting about the Smith Valley Road construction project on Wednesday, July 16, in the Main auditorium of Center Grove High School, 2717 South Morgantown Rd., in Greenwood. The assembly is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Doors open at 6.
The reconstruction project, located on Smith Valley Road between Interstate 69 and State Road 135, aims to accommodate the changes resulting from I-69, enhance overall safety along the corridor, and improve traffic flow at intersections. Proposed construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to interact with the project team and receive the latest information about the undertaking. Displays will be available in the Hall of Excellence for attendees to view after the presentation.
