COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department (CPD) started using Columbus North High School as the site of active shooter training exercises on Monday, July 14.
This two-week training program will bring together CPD, the Columbus Fire Department, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, and Columbus Regional Health in a proactive safety effort to ensure first responders are prepared in the event of emergencies.
Multiple emergency vehicles will be in the area during the afternoon and evenings throughout the training.
