COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Redevelopment Commission was joined by the Columbus City Council and hosted a meeting on the Columbus Downtown 2030 plan at the Cal Brand Meeting Hall on Monday, July 21.
The Columbus Downtown 2030 plan is an updated downtown strategic development plan that recognizes the recent history of redevelopment, incorporates current initiatives, and provides a clear, comprehensive strategy for continued advancement.
These advancements included developing and redeveloping sites throughout the downtown, including Washington Street, 4th Street, and 5th Street, forging stronger connections between 4th and 5th Streets and Mill Race Park, and creating new destinations within Mill Race Park.
Sasaki, SB Friedman, and Storyboard shared a study shaped by community and stakeholder feedback and provided details surrounding an implementation strategy to move the plan forward around September.
