GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood reminds residents that there is a public hearing to discuss Greenwood’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) this Tuesday, July 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Greenwood Public Library, 310 S. Meridian St..
In 2024, the City of Greenwood and the community created its Comprehensive Plan, detailing the proposal for growth and development in the years to come. From small-scale retail and local businesses to walkable, mixed-use areas for families/professionals, the community made its vision for the future of Greenwood clear.
To make this vision a reality, the City has partnered with Opticos Design to create a UDO that better supports the Comprehensive Plan. With this project in its early stages, this public meeting is an opportunity to learn more about what it means for Greenwood and a chance to have your voice heard as it moves forward.
Here is what you can expect when you attend:
- An overview of the purpose of updating the UDO
- A presentation from City Staff on what changes are included in the updated UDO
- Small group discussions, raffle drawings, and a Q/A session
- A look ahead at what’s next
