NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested six men on drug possession charges on Monday, July 28.
JCSO was granted a Jennings County Circuit Court Search Warrant for a residence on Cedar Knoll Drive in Country Squire Lakes after conducting a narcotics investigation. Upon arrival, deputies encountered six men at the residence, which was being lived in by Aaron Mason.
One male subject, Stanely Sawyer, attempted to run but was quickly apprehended by Sgt. Michael Watts. Indiana Conservation Officer Zach Walker deployed his K-9 partner Jaycee and allegedly found about 4.5 grams of crack cocaine that Stanely had thrown into a wooded area while running.
During a search of the residence, Fentanyl that was packaged to sell was supposedly located, along with scales, packaging material, and other items related to narcotics distribution, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, and other drug-related items.
K-9 Brock also reportedly found 3.5 grams of methamphetamine that was hidden under a bed while conducting an area search.
The following individuals are being held in the Jennings County Jail on the following preliminary charges:
- Aaron Mason for Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Level 5 Felony), Possession of a Narcotic Drug (Level 6 Felony), Possession of Meth (Level 6 Felony), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 Felony), and Possession of Paraphernalia (C Misdemeanor)
- Robert Pickett for Possession of Meth (Level 6 Felony) and Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 Felony)
- Stanely Sawyer for Possession of Cocaine (Level 6 Felony), Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 Felony), and Visiting a Common Nuisance (B Misdemeanor)
- Floyd Wayne Johnson Jr. for Visiting a Common Nuisance (B Misdemeanor)
- Kenneth McDonald for Visiting a Common Nuisance (B Misdemeanor)
