JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. –The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested an 18-year-old woman on Attempted Murder charges for a stabbing in Geneva Township on Sunday, August 10. Deputies responded to a report of numerous people being knifed at a residence at around 6 p.m.
Upon arrival, JCSO found multiple victims suffering from serious injuries and took the alleged suspect into custody without further incident. Officers applied several tourniquets and rendered other life-saving aid.
Emergency Medical Services requested two medical helicopters to be dispatched to the scene. Three people were treated, two of whom were airlifted to trauma centers for advanced care.
Following the investigation, Harris was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder. She is being held without bond at the Jennings County Jail pending her initial hearing in Jennings County Circuit Court.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
