FRANKLIN, Ind. – For almost 70 years, the Franklin holiday lights have brought joy, wonder, and warmth to the community. From childhood memories to new traditions, the lights are more than decoration; they’re a symbol of what the city is.
Each year, during the “Light the Legacy” campaign, Discover Downtown Franklin must raise $40,000 or more to install and maintain the holiday lights – resources that could otherwise help the agency support downtown businesses and grow community programs.
A gift to the Holiday Lighting Endowment Fund at the Johnson County Community Foundation is invested permanently, with only the interest earnings used each year to provide lasting support for Franklin’s holiday lights.
This year, your generosity will double the impact. Discover Downtown Franklin will match the first $20,000 in contributions, making your donation to the Holiday Lighting Fund go twice as far.
