NORTH VERNON, Ind. –The City of North Vernon will be conducting a controlled burn at the Quarry this Saturday, September 13, in cooperation with North Vernon Parks and Recreation.
This prescribed burn is being carried out for land management and safety purposes.
The city is alerting residents to be aware that smoke may be visible in the surrounding areas during this time. It is no reason for concern.
For safety reasons, North Vernon Parks and Recreation requests that the public stay away from the burn area.
