NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a local man on weapon and strangulation charges on Wednesday, September 24.
The North Vernon Police Department responded to the Northside Terrace Apartments at around 10:45 p.m. to assist the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) in locating a possible suicidal female. While responding, officers were advised that a male inside the residence was possibly armed with a firearm and suspected of domestic violence.
After investigating, officers arrested Theodore Dudzik. He was taken into custody on preliminary charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Strangulation, Domestic Battery, and Interference with the Reporting of a Crime.
Dudzik was transported to the Jennings County Jail, where he awaits formal charges by the Jennings County Prosecutor’s Office.
