FRANKLIN, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., is continuing work on a bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 31 over Pleasant Run Creek, between Orchard Lane and West Main Street in Greenwood.
On or after the evening of Wednesday, October 8, crews will temporarily reduce northbound U.S. 31 to one lane over Pleasant Run Creek to complete a bridge deck pour. Northbound U.S. 31 is expected to reopen to two lanes the following morning, weather permitting.
Southbound U.S. 31 will remain open to two lanes while deck pour activity is in progress. Work on U.S. 31 over Pleasant Run Creek is expected to be complete in mid-November. INDOT will provide updates as work progresses.
This project is part of a $3.7 million contract awarded in October 2024. Drivers should slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All INDOT schedules are subject to change.
