COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Parks and Recreation invites the public to “Make Your Mark with Parks,” a new traveling community mural designed to celebrate the power of art, community, and the spaces that bring us together. Following its debut on October 14 at The Commons, the traveling community mural tour continues this weekend.
You can add your flair to the mural on Friday, October 24, at the Skate and Scare at Hamilton Center from 7 to 9 p.m., and again on Saturday, October 25, at the Halloween Fall Fest at Donner Center, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Created through a Parks partnership with Columbus Park Foundation and local artist Abigail Flout of AbFlo Creative, the mural is designed to be interactive, inviting residents to help color it in as it travels to various Parks and Rec locations over the coming months.
All are welcome to participate, and no artistic experience is required.
Other stops on the fall tour of the “Make your Mark with Parks” traveling community mural include:
- November 8 – “100 Years” at Donner Shelter House
- November 20 – “Fieldhouse Rec Day” at NexusPark
- December 6 – “Santa” at The Commons
The mural will continue its tour into 2026, making stops at parks and community centers across the city.
