NORTH VERNON, Ind.– The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) made an intoxicated driving arrest that lead to a search warrant and additional narcotics charges on Monday, November 24.
Task Force Officer Chris Allen was dispatched to the 300 block of North State Street regarding a report of an individual acting erratically around a vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer Allen located Scarlett Chapman, who was allegedly discovered to be extremely intoxicated on methamphetamine.
Chapman was taken into custody and charged with Operating While Intoxicated (Felony) and Possession of Meth. During the course of the investigation, officers gathered information indicating possible narcotics activity at a residence in the 20 block of South County Road 110W.
Upon execution of a search warrant, officers supposedly found multiple items consistent with narcotics use and distribution. As a result, Larry Lee Willhite was arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Meth.
