NORTH VERNON, Ind. –The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) apprehended a North Vernon man on charges of child molestation and dealing methamphetamine on Thursday, December 4.
The investigation began after allegations were reported involving two separate victims, ages 16 and 13.
During a forensic interview at a child advocacy center, the juvenile victims disclosed information regarding criminal sexual acts.
Michael Kuhlman, 48, of North Vernon, supposedly confessed to giving alcohol and meth to minors, and confirmed details from allegations made against him.
Kuhlman was taken into custody following a JCSO investigation into allegations involving two juvenile victims and was preliminarily charged with:
- 1 Count – Level 1 Felony Child Molesting
- 1 Count – Level 4 Felony Incest
- 2 Counts – Level 4 Felony Sexual Battery
- 1 Count – Level 4 Felony Dealing Meth
All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
