COLUMBUS, Ind.–Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation C4 students now have the chance to “soar” and broaden their horizons, thanks to a contribution to the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF) from AT&T Aspire. The $15,000 gift will boost a program that introduces cutting-edge drone and unmanned vehicle (UMV) technology into high schools.
BCSF will utilize its AT&T funding through a longstanding partnership with the Columbus Area Career Connection (C4) Criminal Justice Program. The program will expose nearly 290 students to the use of drone and UMV technology within the public safety sector. Students who successfully complete the training will receive a Drone Awareness and Safety Course Completion Certificate.
Through the Aspire initiative, AT&T helps provide access to the education and training that people need to acquire and retain good jobs. Since 2008, $450 million has been committed to programs to help millions of students in all 50 states and around the world.
