GREENWOOD, Ind. — Greenwood Police are investigating a report of a man trying to abduct a four-year-old boy in the 2300 block of Harness Way around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the mother was getting her six children on the bus when the four-year-old ran across the street. A nine-year-old sister ran after the child and brought him back home. The children told their mother a man offered the boy candy then grabbed the boy and started to walk him back to his truck. The sister pulled the boy away from the man, and the two ran back to the house.
The suspect is described as a white male with a full beard, medium build, short haircut, wearing sunglasses and driving a white mid-sized pickup truck, possibly with an extended cab.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact detective Doug Wood at 317-882-9191.
