FRANKLIN, Ind. – Up to 500 participants will join together this Saturday at the annual Relay For Life of Johnson County, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, in Franklin. The annual event is geared toward helping the American Cancer Society attack cancer from every angle.
The family-friendly day starts at 10 a.m., and allows the Johnson County community to come together to support one another and raise awareness of the cause. Relay For Life salutes those who are battling, have fought the battle and won, and those who have lost the fight against cancer. On Saturday, 175 survivors and caregivers will be honored. The event features entertainment, games, music, and food.
Last year, 2.7 million participants in the United States raised more than $279 million at more than 3,500 American Cancer Society relays.
